Positive impact

In Idilia we aim to generate a positive impact on our environment, developing projects in favor of social and environmental sustainability. On the one hand, supporting the development and well-being of the people. On the other hand, developing and distributing our products with the minimal impact on the environment.

Our sustainability program is aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): zero hunger, good health and well-being, decent work and economic growth, responsible consumption and production, and action for the climate.

Social impact

FESBAL

The ColaCao Foundation is born with the dual goal of being a reference in the fight against bullying and empower children to enhance what makes them unique.

This non-profit organization anchors its social action through bullying prevention via three axes: the research, the education and the outreach, in projects aimed at teaching staff, students, and families, as well as awareness-raising projects aimed at the entire society. Idilia Solidaria

Through this plan, we help families at risk through the donation of products or by collaborating with non-governmental organizations, foundations, programs, and social initiatives.

Solidary production

In our immediate environment, we help the families who need us most, and that is why for more than 30 years we have collaborated with the Spanish Federation of Food Banks donating products to fill the pantries of those homes.

Solidary payroll

All the people who form part of the Idilia team, we have the possibility of participating in donations to social action and solidarity programs. It is totally voluntary, but every year many of us join in. And we don’t do it alone: Idilia also contributes, and together we ensure that that aid reaches much further to social programs that we all choose together.

Environmental impact

We have achieved zero carbon footprint in scopes 1 and 2

Sustainability is not a word. It’s a way of being. In Idilia we believe that environmental sustainability, to be real, must be seen and felt. That's why we transform every commitment into visible, measurable, and ongoing improvements.

And we do it where it matters most: in our factory, in the packaging we use, in the way we treat water, in how we manage waste, or in the energy with which we produce our products. All these efforts are integrated into our program: Idilia Sostenible.

    Water management

    Every drop counts. At Idilia, we optimize water use in our factory and offices for a more efficient future.

    Each year, we aim to reduce water consumption through:

    • Control actions.
    • Reduced flow rates in all taps.

    Carbon footprint reduction

    Moving steadily towards zero emissions and working to become energy positive.

    • Zero footprint in Scope 1 and 2 from 2025.
    • 25,000 m² photovoltaic solar panel park at the factory (equivalent to 3 football fields).
    • 1 in every 3 products is manufactured using self-generated solar energy at the plant.
    • 100% of the electricity we use in both the factory and offices is green energy.

    Packaging

    Towards packaging and wrapping with infinite lives.

    • 70% of the cardboard we use is already recycled.
    • We promote the reuse of our packaging: around 90% of Nocilla jars are given a second life.
    • We are moving towards packaging with reduced weight and more recyclable materials.

    Zero waste

    • Separation of over 90% of the waste generated at the plant.
    • AENOR “Zero Waste” certification.

  • Own energy

    One in three products is made with self-generated solar energy from our factory's photovoltaic park.

  • Nocilla tableware

    65% of users always keep the Nocilla glass as tableware, and 95% do so occasionally. This is the best way to avoid packaging waste, giving it a second life.

  • Cocoa

    We collaborate with some of the world’s leading initiatives that promote socially responsible cocoa farming, such as the International Cocoa Foundation (ICI) and the World Cocoa Foundation (WCF).

    These international entities integrate farmers, governments, and other civil society agents, with the aim of ensuring the social sustainability of their supply chain and advancing respect for the human rights of communities working on their crops.
