Idilia achieves zero carbon footprint
and strengthens its sustainability progress

  • The company drives energy self-generation with the photovoltaic park at its industrial complex in Parets del Vallès (Barcelona).

Parets del Vallès (Barcelona).- Idilia has achieved a zero carbon footprint in scopes 1 and 2, a milestone representing the neutrality of its direct emissions —from fossil fuel consumption and potential refrigerant gas leaks— and its indirect emissions linked to electricity consumption. This progress is part of its positive impact programme Idilia Sostenible, reflecting the company's evolution towards an increasingly efficient and environmentally responsible operating model.

Idilia structures its main environmental advances around four pillars: emissions, water footprint, waste and packaging, with measurable indicators and actions implemented across its industrial operations.

Emissions and energy

The zero footprint achievement in scopes 1 and 2 is directly linked to Idilia's effort to reduce and transform its energy consumption, prioritising efficiency measures and the transition to renewable sources. Photovoltaic self-generation plays a central role: Idilia has 25,000 m² of solar panels, with 5,000 panels, capable of generating 3,300 MWh per year, equivalent to the annual consumption of over 1,000 households.

Thanks to this capacity, 1 in every 3 products leaving the factory is made entirely with self-generated solar energy, advancing the decarbonisation of the production process and reducing external energy dependence.

Water and waste

In parallel, Idilia has intensified its water efficiency plans at its factory. Since 2024, the company has achieved a 24% reduction in water consumption through operational improvements and internal plans aimed at optimising usage and strengthening consumption controls.

Currently, 98% of waste generated at the factory is correctly segregated, enabling the company to obtain the "Zero waste to landfill" certification awarded by AENOR.

Packaging and circularity

Idilia is also advancing the transformation of its packaging towards lower-impact solutions. In this area, 70% of cardboard used comes from recycled material, and over the last four years the company has increased recycled materials by 13% in its packaging. Additionally, 96% of its packaging materials are recyclable.

A positive impact model with solid results

This approach, based on continuous improvement and responsible industrial decisions, is also reflected in business performance. Idilia closed 2025 with sales exceeding 220 million euros, 4% more than the previous year, and an ordinary operating result of 20 million euros.

In parallel, Idilia has continued advancing its inorganic growth strategy, notably with the 2025 acquisition of the British brand Shaken Udder —leader in the premium milkshake segment in the United Kingdom— which strengthens and complements the company's milkshake business.

The family-owned company has an average workforce of 330 employees and has allocated over 6 million euros to investments focused on socio-environmental impact projects, facility improvements and the reinforcement of productive efficiencies.
